All-Inclusive capping service with Polar Cold Caps

Assistant will attend all chemotherapy sessions and apply Polar Cold Caps (included) before, during, and after infusion (up to 8 hours per session). Assistant will also provide electric blanket, neck pillow, and other supplies for the comfort of the Client. Assistants will arrive at the infusion center with all supplies needed for the capping experience. 


Full capping service (patient rents their choice of caps)

Assistant will attend all chemotherapy session(s) and apply cold caps (Client rents their own caps) before, during and after infusion (up to 8 hours per session). Clients are responsible for picking up dry ice (not included in price) prior to treatment and ensuring caps are cooled before infusion. Assistant will supply electric blanket, neck pillow, and other supplies for the comfort of the Client. Assistants will arrive at the infusion center with all supplies needed for the capping experience (with the exception of the caps).

Full day training (up to 8 hours)

Assistant will accompany Client to the first chemotherapy session (8 hours) and train a designated friend or loved one while Client receives infusion. Assistant will continue home with the Client and continue training for the allotted timeframe.   Client is responsible for renting cold caps, purchasing dry ice, and having the caps cooled prior to infusion. Assistant will continue to be a source of reference throughout the duration of treatment.


Half day training (up to 4 hours)

Assistant will accompany Client on the morning of treatment for up to 4 hours and train a designated capper (s) to properly prep the scalp, pre-cool, rotate the caps in the cooler and properly change the caps out while Client is receiving infusion. Client is responsible for renting caps, purchasing dry ice, bringing extra supplies and packing the cooler prior to infusion. Assistant will continue being a source of reference for the duration of the Client's treatment plan.  

In person training prior to day of chemo

Assistant will meet Client prior to the day of chemotherapy to train a designated capper(s) the proper techniques of cold capping. Assistant will be "on-call" the first day of infusion to answer questions and provide assistance virtually. Assistant will continue being a source of reference for the duration of the Client's treatment plan.   


Virtual training prior to day of chemo

Virtual training is offered for out of town Client's. Assistant will provide training virtually and be "on-call" during the Client's first infusion to answer any questions and provide support. Assistant will continue to be a source of reference for the duration of the Client's treatment plan.


Fill-in capping

UC offers fill in capping for those who need a last-minute capper to assist with capping needs.
